The idea of Blue Alter Ego originated in 2014 when I did a lot of experimental speedpaints and one of them really sparked (its placeholder name was called Pale Blue Dot). At the time I knew I wanted to create it into something, but I didn’t know what format. I considered a book, a game, a visual novel – in the end, a webcomic was the best way to tell the story. And making it free to read so that it can reach as many people as possible.
Here’s some of the concept art and design development throughout the creation of Blue Alter Ego.
